Teaching Abroad

Dr. Schneier-Madanes is invited regularly to teach in different institutions. She has lectured as a guest speaker at Cambridge University, Universidad de Barcelona, Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Universidad de Chile, Catolica de Chile and Diego Portales, Universidad de Cuenca (Ecuador), Universidad Central de Venezuela, Universidad Nacional de Méjico and Colegio de Méjico, MIT, Denver University, and many public and private institutions and companies (France Telecom, Accor, Lyonnaise des Eaux/Aguas Argentinas).

Partners University Fund (PUF), University of Arizona/CNRS (2009–2012)

Water, Environment and Urban Development: US and EU Case Studies As project leader for CNRS, Dr. Schneier-Madanes is conducting together with Prof. Juan Valdés and Hoshin Gupta, hydrologists, a three-year program for student and faculty mobility involving:

  • At the University of Arizona, the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources, College of Engineering, Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy and School of Geography and Development.
  • At CNRS, Sysiphe (UMR 7619 CNRS / Paris 6 and Ecole des Mines de Paris) and Géographie-Cités (UMR 8504 CNRS / Universités Paris I and Paris 7)
  • At the UMI 3157 Water, Environment and Public Policy (CNRS / University of Arizona)
   

An ERASMUS  Program of the European Union – Inter-University Cooperation Programme (ICP) F-2133 Architecture, Urbanism and Environmental Planning:
Europe / Latin America

As program coordinator of an exchange program  among nine European institutions, and of the first Erasmus of Paris 3-Sorbonne Nouvelle University, Dr. Schneier-Madanes contributes to higher education in Europe.
